Can anyone tell me anything about Guatemalan worry dolls?

I found a small box of them in an alternative health store today. I think they're adorable.

I love those dolls! I would buy the little container of them when I was a little girl in regular stores and later found out that they are for you to whisper your worry to them and place it under your pillow at night.

This u tube video reveals just how powerful our beliefs are and this man is using a voodoo doll to demonstrate it.

Notice that the prefix of the word demonstrate is demon. The literal translation of demon is bringer of knowledge or the "demonstrator."

You supposedly spend all day with one on your person and it picks up on your worries of that day, and before you go to sleep you acknowledge all of your worries and put the doll under your pillow and your worries will be gone by the morning. Who knows if it's proven, but it's always best to have hope in soemthing. Buy them, if it doesn't take your worry away, at least you tried right?

These little dolls are so fabulous. The myth behind them is that you tell them your problems before you go to sleep at night. Put the ones that you have expressed your problem to under your pillow. When you awake the supposively have taken away your problems. Works every time

I used to have one that I held in my fingers all the time- I worried off his hair first, next I worried off his face then his shirt, I think he got worried that I would worry off his pants next, because he disappeared on me :(
