My 5 year old got blue silly putty in a pair of white khaki pants. I was able to get the putty itself out of the pants, but there is a number of blue spots left behind. How can I get the spots out without leaving another stain behind.

If you can't get it out, then maybe go for it and put blue spots all over. How fun is that?

Have you ever heard of a hand cleaning product that mechanics use called "Go-Jo"? It is a petroleum-based gel-like product that safely removes almost anything. Most people don't know this, however. I used it successfully to remove set in crayon that had gotten into a load of clothes and made it into the dryer. I thought I would have to throw the whole load away, but the Go-Jo removed every bit of the stains! If you can't find it, check your local auto parts store for a similar product. Good luck and I hope this helps. I promise it should work. Rub it into the material and let it sit for a few minutes prior to washing. You may have to do it twice, but it should do the job nicely!
