Meditate, meditate, meditate. Work with energy. Play with it. Move it around. Fountains are a great source - just remember to ask nicely!

Listen. Think. Your strengths will become evident. What makes you different? Is there something you've just always been able to do? Have you felt a strong pull toward something, but just never investigated? Does something repeatedly cross your path? Once again, meditation will help you focus. And it takes a while - if it was easy, it wouldn't be Craft, now would it? :)

Of course. It's not as simple as they wouldn't get attached if they were following God. There's so much to get attached to these days it's not funny. It's the simple things that even the most devout Christian can get attached and even take it to far with. Look at all the people that are addicted to the TV or food or other various things in the house. What would happen if for some reason one was forced to give up their favorite show? There are some people out there that wouldn't know how to get through their day without their daily coffee. These people will do almost anything to not miss their TV show or to get the best coffee to the point of it taking over their life. Another big one is money. People base their happiness on what their pay check is or what they can or in some cases cannot afford. Look at the people that build shrines when a loved one passes. If something were to happen to the shrine, it would be like losing the person all over again. The thought of not being able to talk to, or pray to, the person who's no longer there might send someone in the throws of grief over the edge.

There is a very good reason that most, if not all, magic(k)al paths/traditions advocate the importance of learning how to ground, center and visualize. These tools of "discipline" are not intended to be cumbersome, but, they enable you to do exactly what you are asking about; namely, safely charging your intentions and focusing and directing energies. It is most desirable, and more powerful, to be a conduit for the energy or life-force that exists everywhere, rather than to limit yourself to your own personal energy/life-force; this needlessly drains the practitioner. Furthermore, you may find learning how to engage the use of the chakra systems helpful in channeling energy with marvelous results.

I usually meditate on it for about 10 mins then go outside and sit on the grass under a tree and visualize my aura growing. I visualized rays of light eminating and spreading over my area, through the neighborhood, over houses and connecting to other natural energies. I feel the magnetic pull of the earth and the air around me. I stay calm and breath slow.
That is how I re-energize myself and bring things back into focus.

witches have natural strength, wiccans are taught, you need study and respect for the three fold law, if you want to follow the wiccan path get some books on wicca. You must understand it and respect the dieties before you start anything.

Flow with energy. Tao Te Ching gives a lot of good hints, although it's not Wiccan. It's a little hard to interpret. Get a translation with a good explanation in it.

Its not about powers, its about empowerment. and if you were a Wiccan you should know that. You sound like you're just into the magic part of things, which doens't make you a Wiccan.

I felt clogged up, bogged down, and drained a while back and went to a Reiki Master for a "tune-up" thinking my Chakras were rusted shut. The session was electrifying and ya otta see the lightning shooting outta my wand now!

It's not about "powers;" it's a life-style and spiritual path. Relax and live the life. Your strengths and weaknesses will reveal themselves in time.

keep exercising your energy by meditation, try some magick, and just keep going, you'll get stronger with time, but don't think of it as The Covenant where you think you'll be able to blast people away with your energy. sometimes magick takes time, be patient, as all things take time.
