States and counties get to make up there own laws. Some places are dry counties, which means they will not sell alcohol and people drive somewhere else to get the alcohol and bring it home. Some places will not sell cold beer while others will. It is just how the state and counties in the area voted. It is not money buys off the law in the area it is what is voted on and passed in the area.

Prostitution is legal in Nevada because that is the way the people there want it. It is not legal in Clark County, which is where Las Vegas is. That is why people have to travel to places like the Bunny Ranch.

Nevada has more lax laws on some things. They have more of an attitude that a victimless crime is a contradiction in terms.
To correct an answer above. Prostitution is legal in Nevada, but illegal in the county Las Vegas is in.

Prostitution is not illegal in the state of Nevada in any counties with less than 400,000 population. It IS illegal in Vegas in the city limits (I think to keep organized crime out of Vegas as best it can).

Prostitution isn't legal in Las Vegas. Whether it's legal or not is decided by each county.

Imagine Nevada having the audacity to have different laws from the rest of the country. Perhaps we should order an invasion and set them on the right path.

The state legislators of that great state from which Harry Reid is from voted long ago to allow legal brothels. I personally have seen some autographed harry Reid photos in the bedrooms of some fat hookers, sorry, just one of my vices.
