I'm SOOO tired, but i can't sleep!
i'll wake up every few minutes because i'm so uncomfortable. my back aches, my hips ache, my shoulders ache, my neck aches, i even get headaches when i'm trying to sleep.
my arms fall asleep, my breasts & stomach seem to be getting in the way, i can't get comfortable & relax.
i've tried using pillows between my knees, but they don't help. i still have to change position every half hour or so.
i don't know what to do! i'm so tired!!
anyone have any suggestions, or even some hope that this will let up soon?
i'm only 15w 3d, is it just going to get worse???

(i've been sick lately, i'm hoping that's a major contributing factor, even though it doesn't seem to be my symptoms keeping me awake)

You can take half a tab of REGULAR unisom. A lot of it at this point is hormones. You shouldnt be this uncomfortable at this point so I would talk with your doctor. This sort of agony is more common in your third trimester.

Just sleep how ever is comfy, back, belly, side, whatever. There is no right or wrong way.

Make sure to stretch well before bed, and after waking.

I've been there, and have been for a couple of months now -- all of those things, but my big complaint is the shortness of breath caused by my baby crowding my diaphragm!

I tried regular pillows, body pillows, Benadryl... finally a few days ago(!) my husband brought up our La-Z-Boy recliner and put it in the baby's room (there's not enough room in our bedroom). I start out in bed reading as usual, then after he falls asleep I move to the recliner. It doesn't go all the way back but I'm not upright enough to feel like I'm not in any kind of sleeping position.

If you don't have a recliner you can use a couch or love seat with pillows piled up; for some reason it seems to work better than a bed, where pillows can wind up all over the place.

I really hope this helps!

What helps me, is a pillow supporting the belly.

Also, at our ultrasound last time, they showed me how she was all on the right side of my uterus.

So, it explained why I couldn't lay in my favorite most comfortable (before pregnancy) position.

Try taking a nice warm (not hot) bath with some smell goods like lavender or chamomile scented bath products. (Just don't use extracts.)

Good luck! And yes, at fifteen weeks, it's only going to get more difficult from here.

Take a warm bath with an aroma oil, thats what i use to do, 15 weeks!! yes it is going to get worse!! Ask your husband to give you a massage every once in a while. You can also try the sofa, or put alot of blankets on the bed to make it really soft.

You can take benedryl for sleep issues. It isnt a long term solution, especially at 15 weeks along. Ask your doctor.

Do you have an easy chair or lazy boy you can try sleeping in? I found that more comfortable than the bed at times.

You and I seem to have the same problem along with other people who may seem to have the same issue. I believe it's because of our mattresses that we sleep on. I heard that it's best to see a chiropractor first to elimate anything that might be interfering with back pains. And if not that, it's probably time to kick out the old mattress and get one of those Posturpedic mattresses. I heard they work wonders....

No, it will get better. You should be feeling better soon. The second trimester is usually the easiest.
