I am among the thousands/ millions who suffer thru allergies every year. I am just wondering do they only get worse when you are pregnant?

yes, definitely, because pregnancy increases your mucus, which makes your sinuses worse at times

Yes, depending on the person. What seems to be worse is that you are limited in what you can take to alleviate the symptoms. Basically, there are NO antihistamines that are considered safe. That leaves you with pseudoephedrine and stuff like it. For some lucky few, the allergy symptoms disappear during pregnancy. There is also this cold-like illness that I've noticed all the pregnant women in my circle have. They have all had the snuffles for a couple of months now. They get relief from drinking teas and homeopathic remedies. Check with a doctor if you are pregnant and have allergies.

Yes. Sinusitis is a common problem during pregnancy even from those who don't suffer from allergies.

Yes, they can..they can either get better (like my first pregnancy) of they can get worse, like this pregnancy.

I have asthma, and Ive recently learned that asthma can be a lot worse when pregnant with a girl..which I am. Something to do with hormones that cause inflammation instead of clearing it up.

If youa re past 3 months, you can take clariton (sp?) and for asthma, singulair is safe after 3 months.

Feel better.

Yes, they can. And you can develop new ones while pregnant, too!
I was never allergic to my cat until after my second pregnancy, and never had seasonal allergies until after my third.
