My mouse is on the right, and of course I could still function with it on the other side. Most everyone could function with it on the other side, what they mean is that they won't. Of course disaster would probably ensue if everyone changed which side their mouse was on, imagine that?!

I have my mouse on the right side, because I am right handed. And yes I could use it even if it was on the left side.

It's on the right side. I'm left-handed but using the mouse is about the only thing I do right-handed. I could probably adapt after a while if I had to do it lefty.

I'm right handed (that tells which side it is on)
And yes, I've tried using it with my left hand and it's not very difficult to get used to it. It feels awkward at first but if you keep doing it for a few days, it becomes really natural.
