it's okay honey! you will find that throughout your life your period blood will be different shades of red. since this is your first time, think of it like pushing lotion out of a bottle that hasn't been used in a really long time. it has that hard crusty part first that's usually a darker shade than the actual product. and you've got to confront your fear of doctors. you WILL need them in your life.
if you can't talk to your mother about the next most natural thing to childbirth what are you going to do when you actually do get pregnant???
talk to your mother girl!!!! she DOES know more than you.

Nothing is wrong. Sometimes the discharge comes out as dried blood. This often happens toward the last day or so of a period or sometimes, that month's period might just look like that (and sometimes, it can be heavy and bloody, sometimes cramps, sometimes not). As you go along and grow into womanhood with this monthly thing, it will have all different manifestations. If for very many months, your period is just light and "brown" or if you stop menstruating, then you should have a gynecologist give you check up. Don't be afraid. Don't worry. What is happening probably isn't abnormal.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with you. Periods can vary in colour from a light pinkish red, bright red, brown, dark brown, etc. It happens to everyone. There's absolutely nothing to worry about.

Blood turns brown when it is old. This is normal. No worries. You should see an OB/GYN every year. Make an appointment to meet one after your period ends. Please be as open as possible with your doctor. They will teach you. You'll need some pads.
