HCl is hydrochloric acid. It is an industrially important chemical and has many uses.

It can be found in some household cleaners (usually labeled) and is also known as muriatic acid for household use. One of the chemicals for keeping pool water in line is muriatic acid.

It is a stong acid both by definition and effect.

Anything else?

I hope that helped.

HCl is a gas. It is very soluble in water and forms hydrochloric acid, very strong. It dissociates and conducts electricity. It is found in your stomach ,used in digestion of proteins. It combines readily with NH3 to form NH4Cl a white powder. They 2 are not stored near each other because the fumes react.

I know that HCl is NOT hydrochloric acid, but is hydrogen chloride. HCl only exists as a pure substance. One you solvate it in water it completely dissociates into hydronium and chloride ions. There is no HCl in a bottle of hydrochloric acid.
