I have started my period and I want to know if I'll grow.
I am only 5 foot tall and I want to grow more!
I am 13.
My dad is 5"8 and my mom is 5"2.
The doc. said I'll grow taller than my mom but shorter than my dad.
Is it true?
Am I going to be 5" forever?
I have grown about 2 inches since my first period which was 6 months ago.
Help?!?

If you are still within the growing age then perhaps you can add a few inches by eating a balanced diet and leading an active life. A nutritious diet that includes fruits and vegetables, dairy, cereals, meat, and plenty of water will aid the natural process for enhancing height. A good and proper night’s sleep is also essential for the growth process. Taking part in active sports along with some stretching exercises can have a cumulative effect on human growth. There is not much we can do to grow taller after puberty. There are many products in the market today that claim to increase height of adults, but they are all scams without sufficient scientific evidence. Surgical options, though available, are EXTREMELY RISKY and of course expensive. This leaves us with basically two options.

1. Stretching Exercises: - These exercises will help you improve your posture. You’ll be surprised that how much of “Height” is hidden behind your slouched back. You can, at any age, add an inch or two of height by simply improving your posture. Follow the link below for information on specific height enhancing exercises:

2. Second, you can create a “Taller” effect by following some smart fashion techniques. You can easily add another inch or two of “illusionary height” by improving your dress coordination. The link below can provide some input on height increase through fashion effect:

Good luck

You're only 13. Your body still has room to grow, so you shouldn't worry too much about it. You probably will be in the middle somewhere of your parents [but you can never tell exactly what height] but it will happen slow and you won't notice it all the time.

Of course, it could happen that you will be around 5'0" or 5'1" depending on your body and if it does grow. But if your doctor says that you'll be in the middle, then I'd go with their advice, only because they have been doing this for quite some time! You never do know though...

Either way, even if your short, it has it's advantages... guys tend to think you're cuter when your short. At least most of the ones I've ever met have thought that way...

Most likely you WILL grow. Girls grow until they are at least 18, and most grow until they are 21. No one can predict how tall you are going to be, but many people are an average of their parents height (taller than their mom, shorter than their dad).

Just because you have had your period does not mean that you have stopped growing. That is an old wives tale.

Your still only young. You will grow until you are about 16 years old and seeing as you have only recently started your period and your 13 i think you might grow to about 5'5"
