well i cant talk about some of the things here but as an English person, i can tell you the reason we were told that our troops were sent to Afghanistan was as a direct result of terrorist actions across the world in particular 9/11. we were told that this is where the terrorists live and work.
we were also told that we were going to Iraq because Saddam was threatening the security of the middle east, and because he was collecting weapons of mass destruction and because he was cruel tyrant.
now i have to say that i personally disagree with all forms of violence and that of course includes war and acts of terrorism.
in my opinion the real reason for all of this is because men of power on all sides want to hold on to as much power as they can. and i include so called freedom fighter leaders as well as terrorist leaders and the elected governments.
but then maybe i am just a naive idealist.

i love when somebody says the americans the british the troll people or whatever. the debate over palestine, as heartbreaking as it is will never be totally resolved, i believe everyone should live together side by side like civilized beings. that will never happen in the middle east, thanks to the closed mindedness of people who use religion as a crutch, and do things in the name of god, that i know god would not approve of. strapping oneself with a bomb is not in any holy book ever written by holy men, to die in the name of your god, does not mean strap one on. until people can communicate in spite of disagreeing with the next person/country, and trying to come to a middle ground there will be no peace. this is unfortunate, truly unfortunate. i pray for peace throughout the world, daily. i love the british, i love america, i love the middle east. it has to do with the people and their lack of trying to communicate.

You are so positively right....

But all the compromises people make are put out by wrongly accusing us of things which we are flatly against....

At the end of the day all that happened will be set right...and justice will be served, i.e. the wrongdoers will be punished, and the opressed will be rewarded Insha Allah
