Putting Mr T at first base would have really been good for you.(Giambi is great, but could you imagine that extra power?)

No. The Yankees have an abundance of first basemen, with Giambi, Shelley Duncan, Wilson Betemit, and Doug I can't spell his last name. Also, considering they would have likely needed to deal one of their top pitching prospects, it just isn't a good idea.

The Yankees have the best offensive team in MLB and need pitching help, both starting and relief. Therefore, I believe it was a good move that the Yankees did not go after Teixeira, save the money for solid pitching.

Nope they were asking too much for Tex and the lineup isn't the problem. The Yankees lead MLB in basically every offensive category. They need the help in pitching and there weren't really any pitchers available that could have helped dramatically.

Mark Teixeiera is a great player that I respect, but if we had gotten anything, it would have been another young gun pitcher. We don't need another firstbaseman anyway. We already have Giambi, Phillips, Doug M., and Wilson Betemit.

Yankees need pitching more than anything. You cant give up runs like that and hope to put up 7 runs a night.

Unless Mr Teixeiera can pitch, the Yankees didn't need him.

The Yankees don't need another bat in the line up, they need pitching!

We have enough power al ready. That would have been a good trade, if they had agreed, but we still have Meinchabage(however u say his name) and Andy Phillips, two good defensive first basemen with, well, not a lot of power, but will help them when needed.

They don't need to waste money on hitting at this point of the season. Pitching was there only concern and nothing materialized.
