It's been going around. You just have to let it run its course.
I have had it for about 7 days now and it's finally going away. Eat lots of chicken noodle soup (I ate chicken noodle, chicken wonton and chicken and rice the first couple of days - yummy!). Drink your orange juice like you're doing already. Keep yourself hydrated and REST!!!
I am sorry you had to miss school. My daughter missed a day last week with it and she was really upset. Just use the time (today) to rest so your body can deal with the flu and make you better.
Congratulations on your BF kissing you. :)
In life, we have ups and downs all the time. The earlier you learn to deal with them, the easier your life will be later. Yesterday was an UP for you. Today is a DOWN. But it's not that bad!!! It could be much much worse (like your BF could have broken up with you or something even worse could have happened). So count your blessings and REST and take care of yourself so you can get back to school and have an UP day again. :)
Good luck! :)

Pretty much the only thing you can do is keep drinking OJ and other good for you juices and take flu medicine. It will go away on it's own. Of all the times I've ever had the flu, it's lasted about a week, sometimes a few days less.
Btw, are you sure it's the flu? Some people get stomach bugs for a day that produce flu like symptoms and then go away within a day or a day and a half. Also there are these bugs called itch mites and certain people get flu like symptoms for a day from them [it happened to me.. had chills, fever, nausea, cold, etc] Wait a day or two and see if the symptoms go away, then it wasn't really the flu, just a reaction from either bug bites or a stomach bug.

Take your temperature to see if need medical attention.Nyquil is ok for a cold, but if you have a fever take medication for that first. The flu is usually accompanied by some aches, too. Drink plenty of fluids and get lots of rest.Don't kiss any more until the symptoms go away.

Take 1000 mg. of vitamin C, chewable and drink good chinese tea. Keep drinking clear fluids to flush it out of your system and you should be back on your feet in a couple of days. Your boyfriend should take airborne right away as well as 1000 mg. of vitamin c. This could prevent him from getting it or at least shorten the amount of time he is sick.

lots and lots of fluids. that will keep you from getting dehydrated and ending up worse. also i find that if i try to remain somewhat active during an illness it seems to shorten the span. try hot liquids like hot tea as well.
