I'll stick with the conservatives. We'll help each other instead of relying on heavy taxation and more government control. I strongly suspect that the conservatives will be successful.

Excellent question! A star for you. I have learned more about the liberal mind set from the answers to this simple question than any other. It is amazing how much these people have accepted a "demonized" view of conservatism.

Conservatism is simply a matter of being self sufficient, having as few government restrictions on commerce as possible and allowing private charities to do what private charities have always done.

How this philosophy has become what these liberals believe about us is almost frightening.

To answer your question, whichever side embraced free market capitalism would be the most successful in all categories. Boy, would I love to see this experiment actually performed. If only!

We've already tried that once - it was called the Civil War. The Liberals of the time, Lincoln and his crowd, remade the Constitution, usurped powers beyond their legal limits, spent the North into unimaginable debt, and crushed the Conservative States when they rebelled against the growing, suppressive power of the Federalistic North. As Eisenhower said - "Beware the Military-Industrial Complex."

Sounds very similar to what Bushbaby has been doing! Cry us a river, Crock-adile!

Those who seize power are always more "successful", since "success" is always interpreted by the victors...

According to exit polls we know the following:

1) The more education people have, the more likely they are to vote Republican.

2) The more money a person makes, the more likely they are to vote Republican.

3) Convicted felons are something in the order of 3x more likely to vote for a Democrat.

On top of that if we look at the "voter map" we can see that the liberal voting block is comprised of small blocks clustered around urban areas.

So putting that all together... the "liberal country" would be filled with uneducated losers who aren't particularly capable at anything other than crime. It would be collection of tiny, over populated enclaves with no way to feed itself.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country could only benefit from no longer having to take care of the liberal demographic. The already successful portion of the country would only improve.

The liberal half of the country would have all of the major financial centers, educational institutions, and the lion's share of the manufacturing capacity,

The conservative half would have pretty much all of the food and all of the oil,

Let's hope they got along, because if they didn't, and refused to help each other out like we do now... well, liberals will get hungry long before conservatives miss college.

Will we secure the border then? Only half kidding. America needs its Liberals, even though they can be a pain in the backside. If you always see problems from only one POV, you don't see it completely and can't possibly hope for the most complete and reasoned response to it. It's true, we often don't get the most complete and reasoned response anyway, but at least the potential for it is there (My God, I'm starting to sound like a liberal)

Depends on how you define successful.... If you mean economically...the conservatives (Unless the current "Conservatives" are in office because they have no idea what being fiscally conservative is)......If you mean a free society....the liberals

You need both sides to make this country work

If you look worldwide....the very conservative countries, yes that means the islamic countries...wouldnt exactly call them successful

"Successful", is in the eye of the beholder.

Will the Conservative be using illegal labor to become "successful"?

Will peace and prosperity be considered "successful" for the Liberals?

And what about those of us that belong to neither "party"? Will we be considered "successful", when we watch both parties declare war on each other - letting us inherit the entire country?

What do you define as success? Is it monetary wealth? Education? Health? Happiness?

In diversity, there is strength. We need opposing views and different perspectives in order to keep energies up and the ideas rolling.

What you are proposing is two segments, with entirely different views, battling it out for supremacy. And I would suggest that both would fail miserably. It is the UNITED States, afterall...might be nice to have people recognize and embrace that...

hands down...

conservative....we are the workers...we have the family values and we are willing to fight for what we believe in...

liberals will bankrupt themselves trying to keep those "social" programs going...allowing any and all persons into their country...and then supporting them....welfare would be unchecked....national health would be in full bloom...with the rich coming to conservative side for health care... bureaucracy and taxes would reign supreme.... no private ownership of guns...and abortion costs alone on that side would be prohibitive....

In some ways...I wish this could happen...

Let the libs take all of their "People" from the Big cities..D.C., Detroit, NYC, Pittsburgh, Etc.

And Go their own way.....

I'd give them less than 5 years, before they implode.
There would be no one working to provide for all of the "Needy"!

I'd be betting my money on the people with the Money, Intelligence, and most of the Firepower....The Conservatives.

Color My State Red......
