Need some help putting a dollar value on some books..?

Question

I have here Volumes 1 & 2 of the Regimental History of Cromwell's Army, printed in 1940. I've been given them to sell on someone else's behalf and I'm having trouble putting a dollar value on them.
Does anyone know some websites or the names and/or contact details of somebody who can help me with this?

There's nothing on ebay, but Amazon.com is selling two used ones at $175 and $260...both reissued editions in 1992. Yours should be alot more then. There are some auction galleries that will appraise your item. Most will want you to ship it to them and pay a fee if you want a certificate of authenticity/appraisal.

First thing to do is to see if anyone else is or has been selling the same thing--go to eBay and search for those books, and after that pop the titles in your browser and see if it links you to used booksellers.

If that doesn't help, find a rare book store or two and ask them about it.
