My daughter had a severely depressed skull fracture from a car ejection. The neurologist said she had 6-8 weeks to decide if she wanted it surgically corrected. (Her head is all dented) After that amount of time it starts to fuse back together. Total healing time in her case was about 4 months.

i work at a childrens hospital and each child is different. some kids recover fast and some take a little more time. they should do an xray a few days down the road to make sure she is healing properly. i'm hoping they did a cat scan when it happened to make sure she didn't have any bleeding in her brain which is somewhat common after a skull fracture. if she's at home , make sure you watch out for vomiting or lethargy and take her to the doc if she develops this at all. but mainly you can definitly request another xray to see if it's healing ok.

no longer a reliable thought to fly. He could have a concussion together with his fractured cranium (which I even have particularly in no way heard of without some form of blunt trauma to the top). If there's a concussion in contact, then the version in tension jointly as he's at hgih altitudes will make him ill and supply him undesirable issues. it may additionally carry approximately different important matters like innovations hemorhaging and everlasting innovations injury. bypass to the medical expert and have CT test completed to be sure the quantity of the problem.

Well it is a bone, so I would expect at least 3 to 4 months, before allowing her to rough house.

It took that long for my leg to heal after being broken. But being young she may heal much faster since she is busy growing bone at this age.

Good Luck.
