Here's the deal: It's legal under Denver county and municipal law. However, it's illegal under Colorado state and US federal law. Therefore, you can still be prosecuted for marijuana under state and federal laws. So, while your friend is technically right that weed is "legal" in Denver, it's not as if you can walk down the street smoking a joint because some jerk off cop will still try and prosecute you under state laws.

Denver è una città fantastica, ho fatto una vacanza diversa dalle solite ed è stato entusiasmante. E’ a 1600 metri sul livello del mare e circondata tutto intorno da magnifiche montagne e stupendi altopiani, che si alternano a grandi canyon e torrenti impetuosi. Rimane però anche una città moderna ed attuale, che nulla ha da invidiare ad altre grandi città nordamericane.
