Im friends with a guy in work and weve just started going to lunch together. He has a gf so its purely platonic but i worry bout going to lunch with him as people are always making remarks like oh what u 2 get up to and stuff like that. It makes me embarrased but dont want to lose a friend or have to hide him

It's alwyas been suspicious if two guys go out together, but girls always do the same and it's ok. Anyway, there is nothing wrong with friendship and dont mind other people as long as you know yourself. I know two guys who are very close with each other they even sleep in the same room, but they are just plain best friends, nothing wrong with that.

In your professional life, stay away from getting to personal with people, don't cross certain lines. If he IS a friend, he'll understand, but this is one of those situations were its a "personal" call, based on the work situation, and your expectations with it, all I can say is that again. Keep your personal and professional lives seperate, you take it how you most, but combining the two can be quite dangerous..... and usually ruins both, so just keep being smart about it, and don't make a call if it causes, what I like to call, static. No use making a stink about it if he really isn't much of a friend, or if there right to be concerned. But if your fighting for a certain princpal being this guys friends, keep it up, if your just using him to kill time during lunch, think about forgetting this, and keeping them seperate, again, like always, a gut call....
