Here's a peculiar thing about the holier-than-thou Campaign Finance Reform crowd. Whenever the stench of dirty money starts wafting from Democrat Party coffers, the clean election lobbyists are nowhere to be found. They'll raise hell and hackles over American corporate donors. But when it's shady foreign operators infusing cash into our electoral system, you'll only hear one sound: the deafening swell of crickets chirping.
Hillary and Bill Clinton have declared themselves "shocked" at revelations about one of the Democrat Party's mysterious, deep-pocketed bagmen, Hong Kong native Norman Hsu. Hsu, a prodigious Democrat donor, was arrested last week after having evaded the law for 15 years over grand theft swindling charges. Hsu pleaded no context to those charges and was supposed to serve jail time. Instead, he managed to remain a fugitive while raking in hundreds of thousands of dollars for Democrat candidates and officeholders

Deafening sound of crickets chirping. LOL.

Yes Im sure the Clintons were shocked. Bill in paticular. He was good enough to give us the straight skinny concerning his affairs being honest and telling us "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" as Im sure hes displaying the same type of honesty now that he did back then. I look forward to them getting to the root of all this corruption as Im sure theyre eager to.

Westhill is right...this man led a very public life. If there was such a thing as 'falling through the cracks' then this is a prime example of how the prosecutor in this case failed to follow through. Mr. Hsu is not totally blameless, but at the same time he thought that he had resolved this problem. And for you to paraphrase the words "Holier than thou" about the Campaign Finance Reform crowd......do you recall the Contract With America with the Republican Congress of 1994 headed by Newt Gingrich??? Was Campaign Finance Reform a part of that contract??? And what happened??? The Republicans have had just as many opportunities to establish reform but they have sat on their hands. And do I dare mention Jack Abramoff??????????????????????????

Were the Clintons also shocked by the Pakistani fugitive funneling dirty money to the DNC?

Yeah, shocked because he was in the public eye for 15 years, and using the same name while wanted on a felony warrant. I think of our system of law enforcement as working better than that, too.

I was more shocked that an astute businessman like Romney would hire a guy as the co-chair of his national campaign finance committee who was involved in a $32 million dollar computer leasing fraud in 2004. He was already under investigation when Romney hired him.

Hillary is made of Teflon and Slick Willie is Pam spray...I was watching Bill on one of those morning shows today and he was being asked about a speech his wife gave, when they cut to the clip the station cut to a weather report...I found it suspicious because the clip was supposed to be "unflattering".

Is that like the Reverend Sun Yon Moon giving money to the Republicans and holding his satanic sermons in government buildings attended by republicans? Yeah, probably the same thing.

Money is evil.

That's tiddlywinks compared to bush's subverting the Constitution with his signing statements and conducting illegal surveillance on Americans and his flouting of the Geneva Conventions by conducting terrorism. It's like comparing a shoplifter to Ted Bundy.
