Belgian authorities are investigating alleged criminal practices by the church and its members. They are by no means interferring with 'freedom of religion'. People in Belgium are free to adhere to any religion they prefer. Committing crimes in the name of religion however is not condoned

They arent the only country. Germany, China, Russia, many countries have acted against them. Basically any country where they dont have full freedom of religion. Anyplace that decides who can worship what religions. Belgium doesnt consider Scientology a religion therefor they can prosecute them in the courts that way.

There's also Russia, France and Germany. Scientology has been investigated in France, labeled a cult and a business in Germany and Russia attempted to block it from being recognized as a "church" (though Scientology fought back and eventually won on appeal).

They are the only ones who have the balls.
The rest are trying the appeasement to scientology in hopes they won't run over them.
aka Chamberlin
We have seen what happens when a scientologist gets mad people wind up in court.

Because they value the rights of the state over the rights of the people to worship freely.
Not defending scientology, saying adults in the US get to choose.

Personally, I think that Scientology is a load of crap, but I'm all in favor of freedom of religion, and that means ALL religion!

Maybe they have had enough of cheesie Tom Cruz movies and John Revolta tramping around in a Psycolo costum.
A word on Scientology.
L. Ron Hubbard was influences early in his life by Alister Crawley and his Wicca Satanism.(So says his own son)
His own claim to fame was as a science fiction writer. So, what do you have?
A SCIENCE FICTION RELIGION!! DUH!
Apearently I value my eternal soul more than dummies like Revolta and Cruz.
