(To me, it is Paradise; no ice or snow!) Early Filipinos, like the Malay, were cannibals and their leaders were known as datus, same as the Malays. Their schools and what not are much like Americans; their politics is much like Mexican (from the Spanish). Their life style laid back like Spaniards and Mexicans. They are good at trading, as with the Chinese. They are innovative and good at "making do" as with Americans of the past. Their chief means of transportation, the jeepney, is the correponding part of the jitney of the States, made from old jeeps of World War II. Despite their alleged, and famous, "indolence", they are innovative and determined, as shown by their ability to man so many phones for U.S. call centers as well as their computer skills and accounting skills.
