I believe you mean a sole proprietor. Anyways as a sole proprietor you need to at the least register the business with your local city government otherwise get a business license. Some local governments won't require you to get the license until the business has made $3,000 to $4,000 so check and see the requirement where you are. This license will be for an E-commerce business. You most likely will be charging tax so you need to get with your states Dept. of Revenue to set up a sales and use tax account. As far as the company name it will most likely apply only to your state in which you are registered and possibly only in your city, unless you Incorporate and get an EIN number that applies to that business you won't have a lock on that name. I personally would not buy a bag with the name "bag whore". It sends negative connotations to me. You are trying to reach to all scopes of women around the world. Calling it "whore" is such a negative stereotype of women. What's wrong with naming your handbags company using your name?
Whatever name you do choose, make sure that the name is not patented or licensed or else you can get in a whole heap of legal trouble.
