Getting what you deserve?
Or deserving what you get?
Life offers up choices, and for good or bad, we make those choices. But that is not to say that everything is absolute and unchangeable.
Life often presents new roads to travel down, side-paths, or indeed just a change of scenery. And occasionally life shows us an infinite number of exits to take, but whether we take these alternate routes, is only for ourselves to decide. That's the thing about life, it changes constantly, and always when you least expect it.
Some have the courage to take a new path, some simply continue in the same direction but change the path in some way, and then others sadly presume they have no choice.
I have been presented many a time with new paths, and some of them I have taken. Was it a good idea? Some paths have almost destroyed me (literally), but if it wasn't for the fact that I did take those new roads, then I would not be right where I am today, knowing the people I know now. And for that, I would gladly go through it all again....
