We locked our truck with the alarm button, but have since lost the alarm pad. We have a key to open and start the vehicle, but do not know how to deactivate the alarm using the key only. I believe that there is a way to do this, can someone please help?

The only thing that I can think of that might work is to attempt to start the motor. This has to go through the theft deterrent system and it might de-activate the alarm. I have my doubts though as this has set off the alarm for entry, not starting. Other than that, get it to a dealer and get them to use the scan tool to disable the alarm.

If is your truck the same key that opens the door when you turn the ignition on will shut off the anti theft. When you lock your vehicle after parking the anti theft will automatically come on. If you hapened to open someone elses truck door with your key it will not shut off the anti theft because the chip on the key is not programed to the truck you manage to open.
