It's human nature to blame someone else when 'we' do things we shouldn't. Bottom line though, a cheater has only themselves to blame...as does a liar, a theif, etc. Personal responsiblility...unless someone is holding a gun to your head and threatening your life (or your loved ones) the burden of doing something you know to be 'wrong' or hurtful, falls on (general) you.

That's actually an excellent question, and deserves quite a lot of discussion. The short version of the answer is that blaming the woman means the man isn't at fault. This is comforting if you're a man. Also, the women generally aren't able to fight back, either physically or culturally.

I think its easy to blame others for just about all of our shortcomings and faults no matter what it is. That is jsut taking the easy out way out though. We all need ot accept the blame and fault for the things we do. We use what the other person did or didn't do to justify our actions but in the end, we have to accept the blame for ourselves. Other people can't make us do the bad things we do. We choose to give up on what we really believe is right and take the easy way out.

When I committed adultery, I didn't blame the woman, I blamed myself. Rightfully so! What I did was immature and irresponsible. Of course, the woman was a more than willing participant, but ultimately it is totally my decision where to stick my penis. I allowed my addiction to lust to overcome my sense and values, and for that I have nobody to blame but me.

Men who commit adultery blame their wives, because they do not respect them. Since the men have no respect for their wives, it is easy to put the blame on the wives and make up reasons for committing adultery.

Since these men do not respect their wives and usually do not respect women in general, they will continue their adulterous ways with multiple women. The best thing for a wife to do who has been cheated on is to divorce the cheating husband and find a man who respects her.

Take care,
Troy

yea why is that?i feel if a man or woman fools around with someone else then its both their faults not just her's or his.it takes both to make a relationship work and when 1 or the other fail at that or give up trying then that is when things turn sour.you might think that when your wife or gf steps out on you that its not your fault because you didn't do anything to make him or her want to do that but if you stop and think about it,somehow it was your fault.i say this because i did it and know why i did it.my husband was a wonderful, kind, caring, loving man but he didn't show me the attention and effection i wanted and needed.you might say this is no reason to fool around but until you have walked in my shoes then you can't really say that.also, communication is a bigggg factor,if it plays out then their going to look for it elsewhere.if both don't work at it then its not going to work,.1 can't keep it alive.

Are you talking about men blaming their wives?
It's because the man won't admit that they are wrong.
