i think its possible to voice your opinion without being censored, if someone reports you for just speaking your mind, you can protest that, the problem comes when people are not able to speak of things they are opinionated or passionate about without being rude, putting others down, telling others off etc etc
it is a life skill to develop to be able to share an opposite opinion while maintaining basic diplomacy and remaining civil and polite, just as with any writing or speaking, one must learn to address their audience, for often its as important how you say something as what you say,

ohh no! Big bad Yahoo answers is going to CENCORE you!

Yahoo needs to make money, as you say. But that also means loud-mouthed blowharts who aren't contributing anything meaningful need to be controlled. Otherwise, the level headed members of this message board will leave, and the result will be a degrading of the message board on a whole due to the presence of immature brats who like to type in all caps and post meaningless rants.

And you are completely free with regards to Yahoo. You may abide by their rules... or you may leave. If you don't like being "cencored", you can express your opinion by taking it somewhere else, perhaps with people more appropriate to your age/maturity level.
