Nope. I've had a broken heart many times but I keep this thought in the back of my mind, There will always be a better day. I wish a few of my friends would have believed the same thing.

It has. when my heart was broken i felt like taking my,own life. I thought if i can't be with the one i love , what the point was. But there is a point I needed to move on and find someone that i will love again. It is very painful, I guess some people can't handle it.

It has many times. All of these people who write snotty "only if you're weak" responses obviously have never lost anyone to suicide. It's a horrible thing to go through, and these people are terribly insensitive. They need to grow the F*** up and learn to have compassion. I'm in no way condoning suicide, but until you've walked a mile in someone's shoes you have no right to blast them for feeling so desperate that they feel there is no other way out.

I think if you did not have the skills to deal with the trials life gives you then yes a broken heart could lead to suicide!

People without coping skills or support systems would be more likely to take their life over a slight that they perceive to be great, and I would think that would include a "broken heart".

I should think so. Since life is full of emotions and sometimes we let our emotions take over. So I guess there are those who might act rashly or see no more purpose in life when their heart breaks.

A broken ego is more like it. Suicide, except for the truly mentally ill, is the most selfish act you can do. It is narcissism at it's most pure. Look up, and move on. peace

No. It is the inability to handle the hard things in life that cause people to consider taking their own lives.
