Depends....did skin come off with it? Is it blistering?

If it is then yes go to a doctor

If not, just put it in an ice bath for long periods of time throughout the day. And use Neosporin or a similar product.
If it's still a problem then go to the doctor

Don't use butter

She probably won't really need to be seen by a doctor. Just keep cold packs on it as much as possible. Unfortunately, burns hurt. She's just going to have to deal with it. The worst of the pain probably won't last more than one day.

If she doesn't see improvement within a week, a trip to the doctor would probably be in order.

They aren't going to be able to do a whole lot more than what you are doing now except maybe some pain meds. Try giving her some aspirin or Tylenol and keep the ice on.

Take him to the ER. My brother got burned by coffee at 200 degrees, so your mom is burned by double. Call the ambulance. She needs the treatment right away. If not, her skin may rub off. DO NOT RUB HER SKIN! It will make matters worse. Call the ambulance right now!!

ALL burns should be seen by a doctor as soon as possible because the possibility of infection is enormous.
