I'm trying to put something up for auction, but as it is extremely heavy, I'll only allow pickup. But I can't find where to do this! I already wrote it in the main description, but the part up the top that says "posts to" says "Australia". Please help :)

it's hopeless, there's no option for pick-up, now my item says "free delivery to anywhere in australia" argghhh! I have written that it's for pick-up everywhere, except for the postage part where it says the above.

ok, thanks guys... where it said Postage price, i cleared it, instead of typing 0 in the box, the box has nothing. Now it automatically says "Check item description and payment instructions or contact seller for details" instead of free delivery all around Australia <<< that almost made me have a panic attack.

In the item description area, type in that it is for local pick-up only. Make sure to bold it, so that any idiot can understand it. Make sure to put in the description where you are located so that someone from another part of the country does not bid.

When you list the item for sale, can't you choose the shipping in a drop down menu? If I recall, there is a "local pickup" choice in the shipping section. Good luck, Ebay's help page doesn't help.

Make sure you spell it out clearly in the auction.

I always use big letters, and maybe specify it in a couple of different locations in the description.

I've looked into that before.

Unless something has changed very recently, I believe all you can do is write "FOR PICKUP ONLY" in the description.

as long as you put in no shipping cost.
any specify very clearly that it is pick up only you are fine.
i think there is even a pick up only option under the shipping cost section.
