Oh yeah, this happens to me alot. I just cant keep my eyes open! My head keeps falling down, and you want so bad to close your eyes for just a second-- then you feel your car hitting the shoulder and that will shake you up for a few mins, but then I go to nodding off again! I have tried everything- screaming, chewing gum, slapping myself on the cheeks, singing really loud- Nothing works when you are in that state! It really is the scariest feeling ever.

Yep I have at least two times that I know of. Once I worked all day and then rented a car and drove up to Canada because I had to go to the police for a person who stole my money on Ebay and I never slept all the way driving there til the next day and I made the police report and all of that and then headed back and somewhere in the last couple of hours I went to sleep and was in and out of it and I dont even remember how I got home but there I was.

Almost and it scared the s**t out of me and I pulled over to have a nap, after which I felt some what better!
It is scary hey ! You think I can get home it's only 10 min down the road, but they say most accidents happen close to home!
Drive carefully everybody!

Not sure when I'm on my own - been close to it.
I was once in a car in which we all fell asleep in the warm afternoon sun after driving all night.
We all woke up as the car slammed sideways in to a cliff - no injuries.
It can be a mortifying experience, if you'll pardon the expression.

It become some seconds later,as we veered off the line that he could have woken,he slammed the brakes on,we ended up in a ditch beside the roundabout. the vehicle become a entire write~off, and that i had v undesirable whiplash. no longer a superb adventure

That must suck!! If I ever feel like I am getting the least bit sleepy I pull over. I don't want to hurt myself or anyone else.
I've fallen asleep on the side of the highway :)

It happened to me on my way to work- behind a bus and the fumes got to me. I snapped to in time- there was no other traffic. I turned on the AC and turned up the radio and took big gulps of hot tea from my thermos. Felt sick the entire day from those fumes.

It happens to me all the time. I will doze off and then open my eyes and wonder how long they had been closed. I'm surprised I haven't wrecked!! Riding in a car or driving one makes me sleepy.
