The answer to this question is "NO". There is not a Super WalMart in Alaska, let alone Anchorage.
I found this last year while I spend five months in Alaska and two of those in Anchorage. WalMarts in Anchorage tend to cater to the tourist trade, like many around the tourist areas in the lower 48. WalMarts, in Alaska, don't have the foods that stores in the lower 48 have. Their pharmacy's are the same and we filled prescriptions there.
The place you want to shop in Alaska is Fred Meyers. This is an upscale of Krogers and make Super WalMarts look like five & dimes of the old days.
Don't forget to pick-up you Fred Meyers card, unlike most cards this one also gets you a discount on gas also.
Additional thoughts: If you are a RVer and looking for a place to spend the night, WalMart, in Anchorage, is out.They cite a city ordinance, while RVers will spend the night in Fred Meyers.. Last year I had friends stay at Sams on the South side of town. They just hat to stay away from the building, remodeling was going on.
The WalMart in Whitehorse, British Columbia had a camper that beat all others. This person set up his tent beside his car and stayed for three days. This wasn't even a Super center.
Wow, Wasilla's getting the first Super Center. Now may be they can fix that one out on the Old Seward Highway up a little better. That place was a dump in 2006.

Anchorage does not.
The Wasilla Wal-Mart is undergoing remodeling and will reopen as the 1st Alaska Wal-Mart SUPER CENTER on Oct 17, 2007. It will be fabulous! It will also be open 24/7.
