Drop it from a reasonable hight, just make sure to drop it once, you have to figure out what height to drop it from, depending on the regular durability of the laptop.
Me personally, if I wanted to break mine, I would go to my 2nd floor, make sure the laptop is open, and hold it straight out, and drop it straight down.

Personnaly, I would leave it somewhere low, and let my 2 year old get his hands on it with a hammer. Failing that a hot cup of coffee should do the trick.

Drop it off a really high bridge onto a roadway below. Aim for the shoulder of the roadway, please....
