Certainly feels that way to me! I am a proud conservative, as is my husband and my children and we live in the VERY liberal state of CT! Every where I turn I am bumping into a liberal ... and the manner in which I am treated just because I am a conservative! They claim to be the compassionate, understanding, accepting party yet I am attacked over and over JUST because I am a conservative. As the GREAT Sir Winston Churchill said (and what I quote when I am so ridiculously attacked) "If you are not a liberal by 20 you have no heart, if you are not a conservative by 40 you have no brain!"
PS: It is very early this morning and I am exhausted....getting the kids off to school and making breakfast and running around .... I really needed that laugh this morning. THANKS!

Well first of all you clearly arent a 'thinking' conservative (as opposed to what, a non thinking entity?? would that even be human) because that comment was so illogical, didnt provide any argument, absolutely rubbish
I bet if you correlated conservatism with intelligence for the ENTIRE population
you would see a negative relationship
in fact...i'm going to go find some studies...ta ta!!!!

liberalism is NOT about feelings
if that were the case, the majority if philosophers - whose entire point of being is centered around the development of critical thinking skills, would not be liberals - when they are.

Since Conservatism requires much knowledge of history and a thorough understanding of the Constitution and of the Founding Fathers intentions you have to work at being a Conservative.
Liberalism, is all about feelings. The less you know about the above the easier it is to be Liberal. After so much exposure to Liberal and Socialist Dogma in school, many people are unprepared for the slap of reality when they become adults.
Those who bought into the Liberal promises of cradle to grave government subsidies become Liberals. Those who are complacent will just go along to get along and be come Moderates. Those who seek the truth do so and become Conservative in the process.
Most people are probably liberal. Most voters are not. It is the nature of things. That is why liberals are always trying to make it easier to register and vote. Because most people who mindlessly accept Liberalism and look for socialist handouts are not inclined to bother with the voting process.

Talk about libs don't tell the truth- The above statement was never made by Winston Chuchhill so to prove you cons aren't liars come up with the proof of were and when he said it.

Yeah, a literal interpretation of the Bible is "well grounded."
Democrats are cynics, they know Democrat politicians are full of crap, but they don't want Churchy McGee messing crap up. Republicans are totally emotional "The poor babies in the womb," "The Evil Scary Liberal Media," "Muslims are hiding in my closet trying to get me," etc...
Personally though, I still can't stand both Democrats and Republicans. Voting for the lesser of two Evils is still voting for Evil.
