i love old british comedy films can anyone tell me the name of an old film please. all i can remember about it is some crooks hid some money in a tree and they were caught when they came out of prison and went to get the money a police station had been built on the site but the tree was still there so they rented a room next door so they could make plans to get it . i think sid james was in it and possibly bernard cribbins not sure though .

It was called The Big Job and starred Dick Emery, Joan Sims, Sid James,Lance Percival, Jim Dale, Sylvia Syms and Derek Guyler. Basically most of the carry on team. Love this film. Good old British comedy at its best

I do remember the film shown not long ago on Channel 4. I think it was 'long arm of the law', or something along those lines.
