Valve adjustment on a '91 protege?

I'v never adjusted valves before so i just need some advice in doing so.

The 91 protege has what is called lash adjusters. These are hydraulic and are self adjusting. No adjustment is needed.

Proteges have self-adjusting valves. You never need to adjust them.

you dont have to calibrate the valves because it dont have anything to do it

just release the spring and the valve is free nothing more than that
