Are we both ...................... "Consumers" and totally "Consumed" ?!
as "consumers", it's the case in all countries.............. but to be totally "consumed" in such humilitating way, i think this is somehow limited to us and some other few countries !!
even in poor countries, they still show and have respect to the people and the citizens.........which is not the case here.
**starting from the lack of respect to the time, policemen (who are instead to protect you.......they flirt with ladies :-/ ), horrible educational system and what happen to both students and parents from high pressure and diabetes.....polluted water and air, and "cancered" food, many diseased children, unemployment leading to horrible and miserable life to youth... " Wassta" (don't know english translation....may be indirect means!!)
of course no need to mention our "dignified" governemet with its dying (god willing) president, that made from this land and its people a graveyard to his "mean" policies.

Edit @ Noor........why have you taken this "item" so personally ?! , for sure i'm not generalizing in any of the cases above.......but me as a girl have been opposed to such situations from many and different policemen !!

@ Farah.........trust me, i'm looking at the full half, but we just need to the empty half more so that we can get better inshaa Allah :-)

@ Noor : looooooolz about koshary :D,
not to this degree..........we're not trifle to this degree..........but you see how they deal with taxi and mini-buses drivers, too much humility, some bribe them !!
dear Noor..........let's admit facts so that we would have the ability to change to the better........i know that good things and good people are numerous and are there, i just want to provoke them so that they can be seen :-)

Living every day life consumes you bit by bit. Everything you said and more. But when I look at the full half of the glass, and believe me there is a full half, even if we don't see it that clearly, I lighten up bit by bit too. Away from Egypt, I am just consumed by home sickness beyond belief to the extent of being physically sick sometimes. At least here I am consumed a bit but I also grow a bit too! I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world, despite all the problems.

And waseet or kosa means intermediary! hehehe

Police flirt with ladies? because you saw one, so it became a stereotype on all policemen
So i guess we could say
dentists who have sex with patients
theif doctors which steal organs from patients
pharmacists which bring cancer to patients
engineers which design unsafe structures to kill people
teachers sexually abusing their students in school

I could list you the whole proffesions, not always policemen to blame in the first place

Edit: Well i think your problem is with the Men not Policemen, i didnt take personally, but i see everywhere people blaming the policemen for everything, if the koshary tasted bad they will say police did it, you even said it as the first thing.
Go to the street and see how people treat "the policemen", it is the people to start with, if they treated them good, they would return it by treating the remaining good.
P.S= As$, you are true, your a real as.s

I strongly agree about lack of respect of time, pollution, horrible education, and just about everything else you said except one thing.
flirting with ladies is not exclusive to policemen. what is unique about our police force is that they break the law. That is terrible and has become so common that we don't even pay attention any more.
how many times have you seen a police vehicle go down the wrong way in a one way street? how many policemen pay traffic tickets?
