I have been waiting for this question to be asked!

I am a Las Vegas resident of 3 years. I live about 2 1/4 miles from said "Tahiti Village".

This "Resort" is nothing more than a few apartment sized units which are poorly furnished and unclean.

The entrance is about 20 feet from the main highway and the entire thing is plopped next to a vacant dirt lot to the left (viewable from the majority of rooms) and an extended stay hotel to the right (blocking any views that could be seen).

There is construction all around Tahiti Village and the area is usually extremely loud and consumed by traffic.

They falsely advertise in their commercials which feature actor Alan Thicke. They film the majority of the commercial by their "Luxurious Resort Pool Oasis" which is not actually theirs, but that of the pool at the Four Seasons Hotel (5 Star Resort), a mile and a 1/4 away from Tahiti Village.

There is very little to do near the property, you would be required to have a car or use a taxi service if you wished to dine out or enjoy any sort of entertainment.

I recently had friends visit from NYC who had only been to Las Vegas a few times. They were roped into a timeshare tour operated my Consolidated Resorts, Tahiti Village.

They were offered free gifts, show tickets, dinner vouchers and 2 nights at Tahiti Village if they would take a brief tour and observe a presentation.

They were told that this process would take a maximum of 2 hours, they ended up spending over 7 hours total - 2 1/2 hours at Tahiti Village for a tour, 2 hours for a presentation and then they were shuttled off site for a "Complimentary lunch".

They were brought to a sales office in North Las Vegas where they had a few prepared finger sandwiches and snacks.

They then sat through an hour and 1/2 sales pitch where they started offering units to them at $25,000.00, when they declined, they dropped the price (6 times) until they arrived at $5,000.00 when they still said that they were not interested and wished to leave.

They called a shuttle for them where they waited in the reception area for over 2 hours! Traffic was blamed for this..

In the end, what did they receive? Comped tickets for a show that is usually offered for free to locals, dinner for 2 at Denny's, various drink and slot play coupons that you can pick up at any members desk in the major casinos, 2 Tahiti Village t-shirts and 2 nights at "The New Frontier" Casino.

Yes. You read that correctly, they were put up at the New Frontier Hotel & Casino and not the Tahiti Village Resort.

They were given a choice between The South Point Casino and The New Frontier - having never heard much about either, they went with the property located on the strip.

This hotel was so bad that after checking in, they checked out and slept in our guest room.

However, they thought the lobby of the Tahiti Village Resort was nice as well as the lounge, but the rooms had not been cleaned before presentation. There were stains on the carpet, filth in the bathroom, dated kitchen (despite this being a new property) and worn furnishings.

It was also discovered that the rates for this "Luxurious" property run anywhere from $40.00 - $120.00 per night - Rates that aren't associated with luxury accomodations.

I would highly suggest you stay away from this place! If you are interested in a "vacation" style resort, Check out Marriott Grand Vacations. They have a stunning property here in Las Vegas!

Actually I live in Vegas and my financee works for the timeshare company that does the timeshares for Tahiti Village. Tahiti Village is not a come and go resort it a timeshare resort and club member resort. Visit www.consolidatedresorts.com and if you meet the critera you might actually qualify for a FREE getaway! I mean you have to put a deposit down but you'll get it back. The Tahiti Joes resturant is pretty good, the service at Denny's there sucks. They do have a pretty cool pool that actually has sand. Hope that helped!
