My favorite author is Dianna Wynne Jones.She writes all about magic and other worlds.I am a great lover of fiction, especially ones about magic.that is why i love Harry Potter, The Chronicles of Narnia, Chrestomanci Series, the Chronicles of Chrestomanci, Signature Books etc.

My favourite fiction genres are fantasy, sci-fi and classical works. Mostly however I do read non-fiction. However, I go more for the genre of non-fiction than authors. Favourite genres are history [and all pre- ancient- etc. associated with it], sciences such as astronomy, geology, archaeology, physics; and biographies/autobiographies.
And then, any good, character-driven book or one with an excellent twisted plot, usually on recommendation from someone else...

I seriously can't choose who my favourite author is there's just so many. But most of the time i just look for a series. And for the type of books i read, well i read most of them. Like: fantasy, books about a person's life, stories that are entwined into historical events.Though I'm not a non-fiction person.

My current favorite living author in English is Richard Russo. He creates character-driven stories. Those are also the types of stories I like.
I like anything that's very well written. I don't adhere to genres because they become somewhat monotone after a while, but there are genre writers who I enjoy reading because their work is good.

I usually read fiction and the fiction Genre I read the most is Horror/Fantasy. My Favorite author is Stephen King and has been since the 1970's when he wrote Carrie. I have read all of his books and have collected his 1st editions since Carrie.

My favourite author is Eoin Colfer, the writer of the Artemis Fowl series, which is my favourite, too. My second favourite author is J.K Rowling who the writer of my second favourite series, Harry Potter.
I mostly like books with action and fantasy or mystery.

My favorite genres are Gothic and Decadent, 19th century or nouveau, but anything literary and complicated I generally enjoy, especially if it's a downer. A period piece is always nice too. I also like Magical Realism.

my favorite author by far is John Grisham..all of his books are amazing! i prefer love stories with a twist of mystery and suspense..someone that delivers that very well is Sandra Brown.. Im also a typical Harry Potter fan..love it.. I will read just about anything besides science fiction..im not a fan of that at all!

My favourite author is Stephenie Meyer, she has written the twilight series (up to book number 3, currently writting number 4). Their about vampires, they are sooo good.
