Sleep however it is comfortable with you. There is the old wives tale that you should only lay on your left side as anything else interupts blood supply, but in the words of my doctor, "that's rubbish!"
If you're comfortable then go for it. Towards the end nothing is comfortable anymore so take the oportunity to sleep how you want to now!
When I started to get a tummy I would always sleep on my side with a pillow under my bump and as I got bigger another crept into the bed inbetween my legs, and then another under my head and then another behind my back! By 40wks I had 5-6 pillows at night and poor hubby couldn't get anywhere near me, poor guy! I could've opened my own pillow shop I had so many on the bed!
Good luck and congratulations on bubs!

NO...

During the second half of pregnancy, avoid sleeping on your back, a position that puts the full weight of your uterus on your spine, back muscles, intestines, and the inferior vena cava (the vein that transports blood from your lower body to the heart). Back-sleeping can also put you at risk for backaches and hemorrhoids, inefficient digestion, and impaired breathing and circulation. Lying on your back in the second and third trimester can also cause changes in blood pressure. For some women, it can cause a drop in blood pressure that can make them feel dizzy; for others, it can cause an unwanted increase in blood pressure.

From about 20 weeks on you should sleep on your left side. Sleeping on your back can slow the flow of blood to your womb. Also you will probably feel most comfortable lying on your side in the later stages anyway. If you lie with a pillow between your legs it helps to take any pressure off your spine aswell. (I had bad back pain in the last couple of months of my pregnancies and this really helped)

no hunny, its really not safe cause it puts pressure on the baby. and it doesnt let enough oxygen flow through your body. the BEST way to sleep or lay when you are pregnant is on your left side. Thats how i did when i was pregnant.

I'm 23 weeks too...it's perfectly safe. Most doctors or nurses tell you to lay on your side because your vena cava artery is on your right...when you sleep on your left side, it reduces the chances of swollen feet, etc. But it's perfectly safe. Whatever's most comfortable for you. I like laying on my back because i can see my little baby bump better, and can see the baby moving better. Congrats and good luck!

When your stomach starts to feel heavy you should start sleeping on your side. The weight of your stomach will cut off blood flow.

ive heard that its just a myth and i do it now and did it the last time i was pregnant, people say it is do with the amount of oxygen the baby is getting, but i dont believe in it. if you are worried ask your gp/midwife. congratulations on being pregnant. :)
