how to make fake latex? aquarium background?

was like making fossils at school,but this is with latex and sand, would like to know where to buy the chemicals?

You can go to a hardware store and look for the liquid latex. I've seen cans of it before. If not try going to a local hobby and craft store, I think I've seen some there before too.

I have a few thoughts. Is this aquaruim designed to hold fish? If so have you checked into toxicity to them, or their reacitions to any substances you might be thinking of using?
