My best friend has a daughter named Romie but she spells it Romy, full name Romy-Ella! she's now four and just started school, she is the only Romy in her class!! i love the name its original (here in the uk) but not down right bizarre! i think the name is beautiful and if you like it then i'd definatly go with it!!

What ever you call her, she'll be known by that, pretty much for ever. My daughter was going to be Rebecca from the day we found out we were having a girl... My dad died a month before she was born and she was named Morgan after his favourite car... Romy might be nice today, but on the day, she'll be what she'll be! Right now think about her future and not her name... who she is will make her, not the name.

Its supposed to be spelled "Romy". And its my sister's name. She was always the only one in school with her name and loves it! Its means Dew of the Sea
PS PEOPLE!! It does not mean gypsy (thats romany) and its not french (Its Latin) and its not short for anything. Get a clue, people! Do some research before you post an answer!
