I am always so glad to take mine off at the end of the day, I can't understand why anyone would wear one to sleep in.

Yeah I agree. they are uncomfortable to wear, ESPECIALLY in bed (even if you get the most comfortable type, they still cause some type of discomfort lol) and apparently its also bad for you to wear one in bed...

oh and I found this from a webpage:

Usually it is girls in puberty who start wearing a bra to bed. Usually this is for two reasons. One, the excitement of "finally" being able to wear a bra, to be on the road to womanhood, is just so thrilling that they don't want it to end. They want to go to sleep and wake up with the bra on, a visible sign of maturity.

Second, teenagers are generally very embarassed about the things their bodies are doing. They don't want people to see these new, strange shapes! So they wear a bra 24x7 so that no matter WHAT happens (fire, sudden tornado, etc) they are safe and protected.

Either way, hopefully the desire to wear a bra when sleeping will be short lived and they will return to the normal practice of sleeping without any binding of the breasts. Breasts are normal body parts and need to have at least some portion of time unconstricted and free to bend and stretch. Nighttime is the body's chance to heal and recuperate from the stresses of the day. It's very important for the breasts to be loose as well, to be able to get a 'normal' blood flow into them. There is little chance of them stretching and becoming misshapen at night - they are being supported by the bed in most sleeping positions. The great advantages of free blood flow vastly outweigh the concerns of sudden fires or other issues.

If you or someone you know is hooked on sleeping with a bra, it's time to break that habit, for the sake of your breasts.

Usually i dont wear a bra when I'm the house because the say that its best to leave your boobs hang free when ever possible, its to do with the circulation and lymph nodes, wearing a bra in bed is not a good idea!! When buying a bra , always make sure you have been measured for you cup size, so it fits perfectly and always buy a shock absorber bra for sports, they are excellent for supporting you when doing exercise!

I'm happy to take my bra off at the end of the day too, it feels so good! I don't like to sleep in the nude & I toss & turn all night, so wearing a shirt to bed gets all bunched up. So I usually wear a loose fitting sports bra to bed.

No way! How uncomfortable would that be! I've got quite big boobs (dd's) and i don't wear any type of support at all to bed. I think it would just be so uncomfortable. I have a friend who has the same size boobs as me and she always wears a bra to bed - she has indentations in her shoulders from having straps on all the time! Bed is the one place where i need to be really comfortable. Who wants wire sticking and poking in them while they're trying to sleep? Comfort girls!!

Yes, usually. But not the same bra as I've been wearing during the day. I usually sleep in lingerie (usually a matching bra/thong/garter belt/stockings set). It started when I lost a bet with my previous BF and my forfeit was to sleep in sexy lingerie for a month. I found it a bit uncomfortable to begin with, but I got used to it after a few days. And having got used to it, I decided to continue, since I find that I really enjoy getting ready for bed now :)

I think its just a question of whether you are used to wearing it or not.

Yeah, I wear a bra to bed occasionally. I don't feel that same relief of taking a bra off at night, like some of you. Sometines i feel wierd when i sleep without a bra at night. I know my mum always warned against it...but i feel fine when i do, don't get any indentations, or bra marks!

I used to wear a bra in bed, but now i dont bother. I realized how liberating it is to take it off and give my chest some room to breathe!

I suppose people wear a bra in bed because they like the feeling of support around their breasts!

No, I have to wear underwired bras (DD cup) and usually take them off and wobble around as soon as I get in from work. I don't actually like wearing anything in bed unless it's really cold.

I used to wear my bra to bed, it was comfortable, but I noticed how easily my bras wore out from getting dirty from night sweats and misshaping, and the indents on my skin ..and since I spent the night at my friend's house 6 years ago and noticed she took her bra off, I tried it and it is so much better... and my bras last longer.. it just feels free...
