If someone has done me a favor or it is an occasion, I will treat others to a meal. If I know they have limited resources, I will pay for lunch but if they want to contribute, I ask them to leave the tip.

I have learned to let others be the ones to pay now and then. It gives others a chance to treat me and we both feel good about it.

Splitting the bill was really important when I was going to college. I would find or get good coupons (buy one get one free), so the lunch ticket was split, and we both benefited plus the waiter or waitress got a good tip, besides.

Too generous. If I feel like going out for lunch, I usually suggest that I'll pay for it in exchange for my friend doing the driving. The problem is, when I run low on money, people don't realize that I have to change. And frankly, I am going to run low on money pretty darn quick if I don't quit this.

On the other hand, nearly all my friends have less income than I do (even though mine is not at all large), so I feel it is only fair. After all, my bosses, who had significantly more than I did, often treated me when I was working.

If I have the means I will most definately pay for lunch with a friend. I don't always but I will treat every now and then. If I can afford it. I treat my nephew and neices to what they want if we go somewhere. I love to give to people. It makes me happy to see them happy.

Most of the time I do. But if there is more than 4 or 5 friends around, the person won't accept it

Not often, but now that you metion it, I should start to work on that. And then again there are those friends who will use you only, and you have to remind them of free lunches you've been giving them!

most would say that I'm to generous, I'm constantly thinking of nice things i can do for people .i buy things for my clients and i give people that i don't even know money like the homeless people that you see on the street that ask you for change,i give them a dollar or two. but i guess that's just the way i am

as for buying lunch, dinner (and other stuff), i can only be generous if i got the money. when i had an income, i wouldn't mind paying for stuff just 'cause it's easier to just put it all on one bill. =D plus, a good friend of mine once said, "money is just money." i agree with him. :)

we are not that way, every time we go somewhere we pay for ourselves, nobody treats anybody to anything

my husband is the total opposite! He treats friends even coworkers to lunch

Sky is the limit, honey. Does not matter if they buy me lunch/dinner or not.

I can't wait for my Pansit Malabon & Chicken Adobo!
