I have two Indian friends. Parma came over when she was ten and Prem moved here when he married Parma. they are good, decent, law abiding people. They both work, they have three beautiful children who are polite, well mannered and doing very well in school.
I have no problem with them being here. I do have a problem with people who come here, collect benefits while ranting against us and trying to change our laws. If they don't like this country the way it is, then go somewhere they do like.
As for the new generation who were born here, they are as British as I am but if they don't like the decadent west and want to change it to something more islamic .... why not emigrate to an islamic country where they would be more comfortable? The young ladies you see ranting on TV would soon find out what it's like for a woman to live in a muslim society if they moved to Saudi Arabia .... the cradle of Islam.

I guess it depends what kind of foreigner you are. If you are a nice hardworking, pleasant person with a ready smile and willing to incorporate your-self into British life you will be liked. On the otherhand if you are going to take all the the UK has to offer and only complain about the place, and try to change it into being more like the place you came from, and only hang out with people who speak your language and eat your food, then you will not be popular. I find the UK very accomadating to all, but you have to put in some effort to show you are willing too.

Yes and yes. I love the multi-cultural aspect of the UK now. We are all immigrants anyway - just from a few more generations back. The vast majority of recent immigrants to the UK, who get such a bad press, have a strong work ethic and it must be so hard for them to struggle to earn a living and learn a new language amongst all that hatred and racism.

This is difficult...I like foreign people because I find them interesting, you know...different lifestyles etc...I have been to many countries in Europe on holiday & have always felt welcome. I have even worked with foreigners & they are hard workers.
Ide say the downslide is some dont speak english . I feel that if they dont, they shouldnt be here. A number of crimes that are committed by forigen people that , if they do they shold be sent back. If they wish to live in the UK THEY SHOULD GO BY OUR RULES & NOT THERES
Jobs. As I said they can work & work hard but I do draw the line to the extreme that a Brit has a problem finding work do to forigeners geting there first. same with housing. Same with religion. They should pray in there time & not when they have work to do.

As everybody that now lives in the UK has ancestors who did not, I have absolutely no problem with it. I would rather live next door to a nice foreign family than a bunch of shaven headed BNP morons.

We should all have equal opportunities in life. I welcome any foreigner who wishes me or my country no harm either now or in the future. The problem is when huge amounts/unregulated numbers of people come to live here with no resources of their own expecting to be provided for. This puts an enormous strain on services and the people who pay for those services. That is why controlled immigration is the correct approach.

Yeah... most of them anyway. I get fed up of ANYONE who is lazy and doesn't work, whether they are English or foreign, and immigrants seem to get a hard time in the press, although everyone I know who has come to live in England from another country have all worked hard to make a better life... So I am glad they have chosen to come and live here...
The main thing about anyone in a society is that they should work hard to improve the country they live in, try to be a part of the society and be glad for what they have... anyone who does that, I am glad they are here, if they aren't, then they can clear off and find somewhere they like better to live.. same as anyone who was born here!
Imagine how boring it would be if everyone who lived had only ever lived in England....

I`, from Scotland and feel we are all human and all part of this world, lets all learn from each other and share OUR world.
