All the time, when I was in my teens I hated getting my footwear wet so I would always strip off my shoes and socks before washing a car at a car wash.
Today it is still the same, if I am wearing flip flops to begin with.

It depends on which one your talking about. I have washed my car at one of those do-it-yourself ones barefoot but I mainly use the drive through car wash. It doesn't really matter if I'm barefoot or not.
