Apparently I'm the only Yankee fan that knows that the rotation next year will be the following:
Wang
Pettite
Hughes
Chamberlain
Kennedy
Mussina will probably get traded for young arms or an experienced reliever. Clemens is most likely going to retire. Schilling won't even be offered a contract with the Yankees. Santana is not a free agent until the end of next season. Pavano is due back around August recovering from TJ surgery. Also, there are 3 young arms in the Yankee minor Leagues that will be called up upon injuries to someone in the rotation. These are the facts, it has been the plan set by Cashman all year long.

This year's pitching free agent list is pretty slim, so they would have to make a trade if they want to acquire any solid starters.
Schilling will be a free agent, he's going to be 41 and will probably only want a one year deal. I can see the Yanks overspending on him for a year. After Schilling it is really slim, the next best is Carlos Silva. I think he is a decent starter and if he can get run support can win 15-18 games a year. It wouldn't surprise me to see the Yankees get both of them and put them in the rotation. Leave Joba in the pen for a full year of experience and end up with a rotation of
1. Wang
2. Schilling
3. Hughes
4. Silva
5. Kennedy

They might try to get Johan Santana, but I dont think so. I really dont think he'll like it her in New York. Just like Brown, Johnson, Jared Wright, and Carl Pavano. I still dont see why we still have Carl. Maybe some team, hopefully, will agree that we trade him for a nice young prospect or two. That would do us some good. This would be my rotation.
1 Wang
2 Pettite
3 Mussina
4Phillip Hughes
5 Ian Kennedy
If Clemens comes back, maybe put him in the rotation every once in a while. I just think Moose had a bad season. I think he will bounce back next year. But we should get rid of Pavano for about 2 young prospects and put them in Scranton. Maybe switch Matt Desalvo in there every once in a while.

They can use Clemens' money to sign Santana. That would be nice. I think that Pettitte will take his option for next year as well. They need a veteran in the rotation and not all young guys.
But if they don't get Santana, I think it will look like this:
Pettitte
Wang
Kennedy
Hughes
Chamberlain
If Santana is in there, one of the young guys will be taken out. I wouldn't know who to pick as of right now. Hughes hasn't really been too great though. 2 good starts out of 8 so far.

you place 3 aces on your bullpen? Edit: ok, so now you pronounced bullpen and rotation, so... If a Sheets/Peavy deal happens, then the Yankees possibly won't have the money for to provide up Abreu, Damon, Pettite, Mussina, and Giambi. And as for Garcia, i think of that they had somewhat have their youthful pitchers pitch then possibility a comfortable pitcher like Garcia. i will envision one ace at maximum going to manhattan, yet then I see Mussina leaving. a international sequence is a threat for any team next twelve months. something can take place. in basic terms verify out the exceptional Rays and disappointing Tigers.

1.Santana
2.Wang
3.Pettite
4.Hughes
5.Chamberlain
Mussina, Clemens, and Kennedy will be put in the bullpen.
