A lot of people died on various cop shows for example. Exclude shows about war like M*A*S*H.

I guess I was thinking more about shows like 24. There have been massive explosions killing lots of people. There was probably an average of 10 people killed per episode if you don't factor in the explosions, don't you think?

What about "Six Feet Under"? There's one feature and often a couple of subsidiary deaths per episode. CSI might have a higher body count, though... What about a series based on the second world war - Band of Brothers??? It's not actually fiction, but it is fictionalised...

probably one of the long running soaps... they've all been on for about thirty years and there are always crazy murder plots and such.
if not that perhaps the sopranos? they were always whacking someone right?
