If you didn't say it, you shouldn't care. If there are any fallouts of them saying it, you should confront them, and very clearly and calmly insist to people that you didnt say what you are being accused of and that only an idiot would say a thing like that. Ask people you meet whether they heard you saying it. When they say no, ask them, "what if I was to tell my friends, you said something stupid you didnt" that should disarm them.

no one can blackmail you unless they have a recording of your voice or your signature on a paper, or a photo! hehehe If he doen't have any of this dont worry. Your good friends know you and thats all that counts.
