This is a part of your Operating Service that allows you to manage your devices. Open it once and you'll see things like your disk drives and processor. From device manager you can update the drivers (program codes that allow your computer to work), view the specifications on all the hardware in your computer. It will tell you if there are certain things wrong with the hardware devices and give you a few options to fix these things. Very usefull tool.
