I'm a sophomore at university, and still have no major. I have no idea what direction i want to go in. I'm interested in a lot of things, but couldn't make a career out of any of them. I was thinking about traveling for a semester or so to see what else the world offers outside the US. Any other ideas?

NO. Figure it out yourself. Take a year off to travel and see people & things. Get interested in something. Quit smoking dope ( if you do) and take life seriously for once.

Check out pharmacy!

Here is why:

1) Most starting salary is 75-150k depending on location and need

2) Most jobs are the usual 9-5

3) You will finish faster compared to medical school

4) You will not have to deal with blood, other than your own from a paper cut. As a doc, you will be exposed to blood, guts and human bodily fluids all day long.

5) You will get the chance to see and spend time with family

6) You will get a job anywhere because there is a pharmacist shortage in the US

7) It is a clean and nice environment!

Good Luck with your decision!

There are a number of things people will always need:

Food
Medical
Entertainment
Technology
Transport

While entertainment is most lucrative, it's also the hardest to get into and succeed. I would recommend something along the lines of technology.
